Team up with your neighbors for Douglas County's volunteer event of the season, Dougnad! This fall, we’re celebrating Dougnad by lending a helping hand to older adults with minor exterior home improvements. Enjoy donuts, coffee, and pick up your swag before we get to work! Order of Events: • 9:00 am: Meet at Challenger Regional Park • 9:00 – 9:15: Check in, pick up swag, coffee, donuts • 9:15 – 9:20: Greetings from your Douglas County Commissioner • 9:20 – 9:30: Split into groups (Groups will be designated the week of the event) • 9:30 – 12:00: Travel to homes of older adults and get to work! We are also seeking volunteers to serve as group leaders. The group leaders will: • Serve as liaison between County staff, volunteers, and older adults • Control the first-aid kit • Take photos • Report data back to County staff If you are interested in being a group lead or have additional questions, please get in touch with us at: [email protected]
